Class Descriptions

Introduction to Yoga

This class introduces breathing techniques, emphasizes proper alignment, and is designed to give you a firm foundation on which your practice can flourish. Perfect for students who have never practiced yoga before, who are returning to yoga after a break, or regular practitioners looking to refresh and refine their foundation and alignment.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga, says Judith Hanson Lasater, is active relaxation. It makes use of props to create positions of ease and comfort that facilitate relaxation and health. Note that ‘rest’ is different than sleep. Rest provides the body an opportunity to renew and heal. Countless studies have proven the physical and emotional benefits of this.

Vinyasa flow-all levels

This is playful class that will offer modification and variation. Focus is on mind, posture, and breathing all flowing together.   All levels welcome, everyone works to your own flexibility and comfort zone; while everyone is inspirited to grow on your own personal journey. Especially good for those who work from home or are hardworking homemakers such as moms. The theme includes 10 sessions, about four weeks each with a different focus. A very inspiring and warm environment to give you a reason to dress up for some socialising.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a great compliment to yoga practice. It targets ligaments, bones and joints that may not be exercised as much during a more active Yoga practice. It calms your mind while focusing on breath and relaxing your body. Yin improves organ health, immunity, and emotional well-being and is considered a gentler yoga, which makes it great for everyone!
